A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step - Lao Tzu
Hello and welcome to my website! It's truly my honour.
So why did I create this website?
The reason is simple. I want to use this website to record my personal journey and experiences relating to personal development and finances. I am currently in my mid-twenties striving towards my ambition like most people at my age with big dreams. For me to achieve great things, I believe that creating a personal website can help me by expanding my network, cultivate my writing skills (I am pretty bad in my grammar), develop my creativity and enable me to reflect on my actions. Through this blog, I will be able to track my progress and hopefully see myself change for the better many years down the road.
I also love to teach. It gives me a sense of empowerment to be able to educate others and it gives me a lot of satisfaction when I see others benefit from my advice. This blog can allow me to touch the lives of many more efficiently by providing you with useful knowledge to guide your lives.
I want to consolidate good information together in this website so that I can also continuously re-learn and remind myself of my goals in life. By publishing this blog, it can also serve as a reinforcement for my positive action with external social pressure to invigilate my progress.
Last but not least, I am also kind of a show off (since young), and old habits die hard. But I don't want to be an empty vessel that makes the loudest noise. I want to be the guy to show off good informational content and really knows what I am talking about. Therefore most of the articles in this website content will be based on my personal experience, readings, research while ensuring complete objectivity (don't worry I have already quit my last job as a financial adviser).
Pardon me if you spot my bad English writing (if you are a grammar Nazi) as my educational background is in engineering (Aren't most engineering students usually bad in language?) and I never gotten a A in my life for English language ever. However, constructive criticisms are welcomed and yes I am reading a book on effective business writing to get better at this.
To end it off, I will like to give my first advice to my readers - that is to start taking actions today. Albert Einstein states: "Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world". Relating to the context of my message, I like to emphasize that compound effect is truly magnificent. By taking one small step at a time, you are one step closer to your dreams. Remember all desired results starts from a single action. I hope you have done something today, and one step closer to your dream. Enjoy the video below and see you again (hopefully next week).
